So, my friend and I were a bit hesitant to come here based on the past reviews. Rest assured, Imodium was taken and I was prepared for a potentially catastrophic gastrointestinal experience. We started the night with margaritas. Not terribly strong, but hey, it's Utah. I immediately saw the words bacon and shrimp on the menu and I pulled the trigger. The shrimp special platter with the quesadillas was great. Huge, but great. I then moved on to the garlic shrimp. It was awesome. The only bummer was that the tortillas were store bought and the beans were a bit runny. Overall, it was a great meal. My rectum is still in tact despite previous reviews and I will update this if anything changes. The service was awesome, I would give it 4.5/5. The food was good, I would give it a 3/5

Felt amazing after eating here! Ordered the beef fajitas for 2, delicious, great big meal after skiing! It was great and definitely one of the better places to eat on the mountain. We loved their chips and salsa too. My husband didn't want a 2nd round of them but when the waitress must've saw the sad look on my face cuz she winked and brought me more! I love her! Make sure to keep your orders simple and clear. When I wast here some a-holes ordered a confusing order to a waitress who didn't speak much English, then got pissed when it came out slightly wrong! Hello?! Don't be an a hole.

Horrible experience! On top of waiting over an hour for take out.... Beware of the guacamole it was 5$ you get a small side barely two ounces if that! Do not order the chicken fajitas barely any chicken no tortillas AND they get to decide if they want to add sour cream, lettuce and guac! The carne asada burrito was just steak no sauce seasoning or any toppings. Only two employees. OVER PRICED AND UNDER DELIVERED! Booooooooo

After biking to Brian Head on the 4th of July we were thirsty, hungry and tired. The open sign at Mi Pueblo was a welcome sight. So if the food was just OK and the service slow (but friendly) we still left happy and satisfied.

Ate there a year ago and had a horrible experience. Gave it another chance. We walked in and waited five minutes to be seated. While waiting to be seated the waitress was vacuuming the dinning area. After being sat down they took about ten minutes to ask if we wanted anything to drink. After they took our order we waited literally a hour for our food. When our food arrived, our order was totally messed up. They came back with it the right order after a couple of minutes. My son was eating his soft taco and found a full sharp bone stabbed in his mouth. Told the waitress and she had a attitude like if we were crazy. She didn't even offer to fix it or apologize. So we asked for a quesadilla and it came out burnt. Two other families came in after and were totally ignored. While eating another customer behind us was leaving and farted so loud and looked at us crazy for laughing. The whole time we never got a refill on our drinks. When paying the waitresses had a attitude. Two hours and $100 later everyone had bubble guts and everyone is eating cereal. Kids are crying and complaining that they don't feel good. The next day was nothing better. THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND FOOD EVER!!!

There are not a lot of choices this time of year in Brian Head, pizza or mexican unless you want to drive a little. We like mexican food and a good margarita so we decided to give this place a try. We got there just as they opened and the one person we saw must have been the host, server, cook, cleaner....really this time of year a large staff was not needed. So he was a little spacey....we asked for an outside table which threw him off...he had to unlock the door to the outside seating and put the menus on a table inside. He left them there once he got the door opened, took us outside and let us pick our table. He cleaned the table, seated us, took our drink order and came back a few minutes later with the drinks, chips and salsa. He came back about 10 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order and realized before we answered that he never gave us menus. He quickly retrieved the menus, gave us about 5 minutes and came back and took our order. If you like salt with your food and not just on your drink, this is the place.....Oh lord, everything we had contained a high salt content and its not because what we ordered normally is, the cook likes it heavy. Our server after bringing the food actually forgot we were there as he was doing other stuff inside. There were NO OTHER customers in the place, he just got side tracked and forgot we were there. I say this because HE SAID IT TO US....LOL We got our bill, paid and waited for our change. He came back and told us he forgot we were sitting outside and that is why it took so long to bring our change. I did not think it took that long but ok. Based on other reviews and the experience we had here, this is a place we will not return to. We were just out having fun but had plenty of food back in the place we were staying and next time, we will make our own food. If there is a strong desire for mexican food, it will have to wait until we get back to civilization because this place is not worth going to back...

Okay so heads up four stars for service, three stars for food. Not really sure what the other yelpers were talking about, the food was NOT terrible. The chips were warm when they came out and the salsa had a nice bite. It wasn't homemade but it wasn't terrible. My friend ordered the garlic shrimp. GET THE GARLIC SHRIMP. It was actually really good. And the service? Top notch. Our waitress made me laugh and teased us for ordering a lot of food. She stood with us for a little bit and was attentive to our needs. Needless to say if I am back up here I would go here again. Especially if I got to keep my same waitress.

There aren't many restaurants to choose from in this area. Food was okay but the amount given wasn't much. I ordered my food with Salsa verde but none came. My bf ordered his with red sauce but there was none on his either. I asked for my salsa Verde and I received regular salsa. The waiter was flustered, probably because there were a lot of patrons and he was the only one working on the floor, so I decided not to ask him again. My son did not receive his kids drink, so I had to ask for that. By then, it was the end of our meal.

4 years later..I warned my party, they wanted to go anyway. NOTHING HAS CHANGED. They were out of Tequila and several wines. WE were the only party in the place and they couldn't get the orders right. Waitress spilled a try of six waters directly on one of the guests, Mama only came out to grunt - no apology. We had to ask to have her dinner comped. Food is Taco Bell-ish, Service still stinks and Mama is still the worst host/owner in the history of restaurants. There's more... we were a party of ten, early Sunday night. did I mention we were the only party in the place. We asked for four separate bills. 30 mins later we we all handed little hand-torn pieces of paper with our hand-written totals - no receipts, just something a 10 year old would come up with. 20 mins later we were finally on our way. Can't wait to get my credit card statement. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS !!!!!!

I have yo give this place credit. Not many restaurants here and we love mexican food, so we gave it a try. We had flautas appetizer which were really good. Chile verde enchiladas and a chile relleno. I would like to see this place be sucessful so go and have some food, great view and some drinks. We have been coming to Brianhead 20 years, need more restaurants!!! Support what we have! I heard this is new management 1st season.:)

Sorry... another bad review :-( I understand that there are VERY limited food options in Brian Head, as we quickly realized during a busy 4 day weekend during ski season. We were starving and even road kill would have tasted good. We should have just ate at the hotel, AGAIN, but against my better judgment, we ventured off to this restaurant. I should have just driven the family to Cedar City but after a long day of skiing, it's a huge hassle. Quantity, quality, taste, and service.. ALL SUCK!!! I would rather chew on a wet hotel towel to quench my hunger than eat here. I have no problem paying my hard earned $ for some decent food. MRE (meal ready to eat) tastes zillion times better than the food we ate here. Does that explain things? On top of all this, my friend paid the bill and the owner tells my friend that his credit card has been declined. That's not possible, trust me. I'm pretty sure that the waitress/owner saw that we had cash (I pulled out some cash to pay for my portion of the bill but my friend took care of it), she lied to my friend, not wanting to pay the measly x% that the credit card company charges her business. A 4 year old child can prepare better food than this place! Hey Yelp, please make it so that we can give zero stars, please!

Wow, it hurts! 365 wipes!!! Bathroom 7 times since last night. Waiter dumber than a bag of hammers. I hope I don't bleed to death.

We went at 4pm so nobody else was here. Half of our party had to send their food back because it was cold and I didn't finish mine because it just wasn't worth it. Food is mediocre at best. Service is half ass. Don't go here! It's pathetic.

Good salsa. Good service. Ok food. Pretty much exactly what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant in Brian Head.

Glad this place was here on the mountain... it was getting pretty bland with everyone serving the same kind of food at the resorts. This place was pretty good I had the 2 tacos combo with beans and rice and was pretty happy! Friendly staff and you can tell they are trying their best!!! give them some slack yelpers!

We were seated and after waiting for fifteen minutes, no one came to even get drink orders. I asked the waitress when she came by and clearly irritated, she asked if it had even been 5 minutes yet. We left at this point and went across the street to casa de amigos, and it was awesome.

My mind is absolutely blown. I cannot fathom a single person, entity, wild animal, etc. enjoying this food. Our table which consisted of 3 people with 3 different orders and pallets all came to the same conclusion...this place is awful. Our waitress opened by giving us chips and salsa which generally sets the tone for the rest of the dinner being a happy one. Well, the salsa was like a can of steam peeled tomatoes with no spice. Oh well. No big deal.. on to the orders. We ordered a NY steak, rib eye and burrito Colorado. Both steaks ordered medium rare. Well, my new York steak came out well done, and I mean to the point where my oblivious fiancé thought I ordered a pork chop. Yeah, gross. It was also unseasoned. The only thing it was seasoned with was vegetable oil. Gross. Our waitress asked about our food and we told her how disgusting it was, and I requested a box so I can take it home to try to season it. What a rip off to pay $15 to have to still go home and eat. The worst part is that she found it hilarious when I explained my plan. How about remembering you're in the service industry and take care of it? I'm sure she was sweet enough and I'm writing this fresh with anger but maybe it is because I'm still hungry and $60 bucks poorer. Please avoid at all costs! Oh also it should be added that when asked for grilled jalapeño you will be served a bowl of microwaved slices. I promise you will not regret not going. All I heard around me was complaints from other tables. Sad.

The best thing about this place is the service. The staff is friendly and attentive. The beer is over priced, but I guess you would expect that at a ski resort. As for the food.... not so good...not so even acceptable. The chicken burrito had little chicken and was mostly a filled with beans and rice. The diablo shrimp was chewy and way, way too spicy. HUMMM could that be hiding the fact that the shrimp is not of good quality??? Both of us went home having stomach issues and needing to food detox until late the next day. If there was a way to mark the food as 0 we would, the service is the only saving grace.

This really isn't a 3 star place but their service helped to soften the blow of the quality of their food. There was a total of 11 of us dining this particular evening and fortunately for us, someone from our hotel called ahead and warned that we were coming. I am not sure that it would have mattered much as our group was one of the few in the restaurant. Regardless, the service was second to none and the attitude was friendly. I cannot say the same thing about the food however. I ordered the skirt steak and shrimp, served with rice and beans. The steak was flavorless and tough, the rice was very dry and the beans......well I wouldn't even know how to describe them. Needless to say, they weren't any good. The best part of the meal was the chips and salsa. The salsa here was quite amazing. Although the food wasn't as we had hoped, the service did make up for it and it is the only reason that we will be back.

One of the WORST Mexican restaurants that I have ever eaten at. I even tried it twice, hoping that the second time would be better than the first. The food does not taste good and you can tell that they use the absolute cheapest/unhealthiest ingredients possible. My friends and I have all felt bloated and horrible for days after eating there. The service is not any better. Not the worst service, but not friendly or quick. Very disappointing because of the limited amount of restaurants in Brian Head. Pretty much anywhere else to eat in Brian Head is better, the pizza place, the hotels or your own kitchen. Just to be clear, I do like Mexican food and have eaten great Mexican meals throughout the southwest USA, including Utah.

I don't what was up these other yelpers butts when they tried Mi Pueblo but this place is fan frieken tastic! I am a San Diego native (trapped) I mean living in Utah and felt this place was authentic and amazing... A first for me in Utah!! I went back for a second round the next day it was so good. I ordered the carne asada and my mom ordered the carnitas... Both wonderful! The margis are huge and when our second round wasn't strong enough, they brought us each out an extra shot of tequila for free...another first for me in the (great) state of Utah. All around, an excellent place to eat in Brianhead!!

Bad, bad && bad ): we waited an hour and a half to get our food which was cold when we got it...the waiter didn't even apologize for the wait or ask us if we needed anything, nor tell us what was taking so long..waited 45 minutes to get more chips, salsa and water!? Really?! When we left everyone in the restaurant had the same irritated look on their faces..2 hours total was the time we spent there no exaggeration. The best part was our sweet girl that seated us then when she found out how long we waited she apologized and kept bringing the chips and drinks...never saw our waiter til the food came. I always try to find good things and to put myself in their shoes because I work in the customer service industry but....come on...it was bad ): the only reason I put a star is to get this posted.

Mediocre service, mediocre food, decent prices considering your own the mountain. The salsa was the best part.

We went on a busy night. However, it was clear that the manager made no attempt to help wait staff understand how to serve. We were served food without utensils; we were served queso that was really just enchilada sauce; I think the hamburger meat in my salad was raw. I wish we had read the yelp reviews before we went.

After multiple more visits, we found the place to be very inconsistent and displeasing. Granted, it was not yet ski season but I think they should just close down during slow times and re-open once the skiiers come, if they're going to just mail it in and burn food like they did when we went. Disappointing.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
